DETAILED ITINERARY

Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be met by your guide who will transfer you to your hotel or lodge in Entebbe or Kampala. This day is intended for you to rest and recover from the journey. Depending on your arrival time, you may have the option to explore Entebbe or Kampala, with suggestions provided by your guide.

Day 2: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park

After breakfast, you’ll begin your journey towards Murchison Falls National Park, located in the northwestern part of Uganda. Along the way, you will have the opportunity to visit the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, the only place in Uganda where you can spot rhinos in the wild. After lunch, you will proceed to Murchison Falls National Park. This day is primarily a travel day, and you will check into your lodge upon arrival.

Day 3: Game Drive & Boat Safari in Murchison Falls NP

This day will be dedicated to exploring Murchison Falls National Park. In the morning, you will embark on a game drive, which is a fantastic opportunity to spot wildlife such as lions, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, and more. After returning to the lodge for lunch, you will enjoy an afternoon boat safari on the Nile River, providing opportunities to see hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of bird species. Additionally, you will take a hike to the top of Murchison Falls for an impressive view of the falls.

Day 4: Transfer to Kibale National Park

After breakfast, you will depart for Kibale National Park, known for its high concentration of primates, including chimpanzees. The journey will take you through beautiful landscapes, including tea plantations and rural villages. After lunch, you will check into your lodge near Kibale National Park, with the evening free to relax.

Day 5: Chimpanzee Trekking in Kibale NP

This day will be dedicated to chimpanzee trekking in Kibale National Park. After an early breakfast, you will embark on a guided trek in the forest, searching for these fascinating primates. Along the way, you may also encounter other primate species, such as red-tailed monkeys, black-and-white colobus monkeys, and grey-cheeked mangabeys. After lunch, you will have the opportunity to participate in the Bigodi Swamp Walk, a guided nature walk offering chances to see additional wildlife and bird species.

Day 6: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Today, you will transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park, known for its diverse wildlife and stunning landscapes. The drive will take you through the scenic countryside, and you will have the opportunity to stop at the Equator for photos. Upon arrival at Queen Elizabeth National Park, you will check into your lodge, with the evening free to relax.

Day 7: Game Drive & Boat Safari in Queen Elizabeth NP

In the morning, you will embark on a game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park, offering chances to see lions, elephants, buffaloes, and more. After returning to the lodge for lunch, you will take a boat safari along the Kazinga Channel, providing opportunities to see hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of bird species. The boat safari is a relaxing way to enjoy the natural beauty of the park.

Day 8: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After breakfast, you will depart for Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home to approximately half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas. Upon arrival, you will check into your lodge, with the afternoon free to relax. The highlight of the day will be gorilla trekking in the forest, an incredible experience that offers the chance to observe these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat. Gorilla trekking permits are limited and must be booked in advance, and your trekking experience will be guided by experienced trackers.

Day 9: Transfer to Entebbe/Kampala and Departure

After breakfast, you will transfer back to Entebbe or Kampala for your departure flight. Along the way, you may have the opportunity to stop at the Uganda Wildlife Education Centre, a conservation and education center where you can see a variety of wildlife species. Your guide will transfer you to Entebbe International Airport in time for your departure flight, marking the end of your safari in Uganda.
